1. The Magic Carpet on Celebrity Edge and Celebrity Apex

Yes, we know, Celebrity Edge has already been sailing for almost a year. Nevertheless, this ship keeps surprising with her revolutionary onboard attractions. Undoubtedly the Magic Carpet is the most exciting one. It is a unique venue that changes not only its function but even its location. It serves as a platform for adventure seekers that depart on excursions, as a dining venue, a lounge, and more. It is not even necessary to mention that the scenery from the Magic Carpet is mind-blowing.
Celebrity Apex, the Celebrity Cruises’ next newbuild, will also have this extraordinary venue. The vessel will join her fleet next spring.

2. Sky Pad on Mariner of the Seas, Independence of the Seas, and Spectrum of the Seas

Cruise passengers on Mariner of the Seas, Independence of the Seas, and Spectrum of the Seas have already had a chance to try one of the most exciting amenities on Royal Caribbean ships – Sky Pad, a virtual reality bungee trampoline experience. The attraction is located at the top of the vessel. It offers to combine bouncing and playing a VR game. A lot of fun for both children (over age 5) and adults.
Another cruise liner with Sky Pad, Odyssey of the Seas, intends to start a career in fall 2020.

3. Phantom Bridge on Sky Princess and Enchanted Princess

Phantom Bridge is a Discovery at SEA interactive attraction. It is the escape room where you can travel in time, solve the mysteries, play with your family, and even captain the ship. Virtually, of course.
Guests of Sky Princess, the Princess Cruises’ latest addition, already can enjoy this amenity. Besides, Phantom Bridge will be available on Enchanted Princess that will set sail next year.

4. Sky Suite on Sky Princess and Enchanted Princess

Of course, we cannot but mention the Princess Cruises’ brand new staterooms aboard these ladies. Sky Suite features a furnished over 1,000-square-foot balcony with a 270-degree panorama. By the way, the Suite’s guests can use the Deluxe telescope for Discovery Stargazing at SEA.

5. Sky Zone on Carnival Panorama

Carnival Cruise Line’s Carnival Panorama is almost ready to start her career. The newbuild will surprise her friends with the first-ever Sky Zone at sea. It is an indoor trampoline park and challenge zone for jumping, soaring, playing basketball and dodgeball, and even for enjoying unique parties.

6. Mega RockStar Suite on Scarlet Lady

Another type of cruise accommodation that will blow your mind is the Mega RockStar Suite on Virgin VoyagesScarlet Lady that is expected to enter service in 2020. Besides the most luxury amenities, this cabin will feature a music room with guitars and an amplifier. And what about a Peek-a-View outdoor shower? By the way, rock stars will admire the view of the boundless ocean literally from every corner of this cabin.
Well, you know, something tells us that Virgin Voyages is certainly not going to stop there and will surprise cruise lovers soon.

7. BOLT on Mardi Gras

There are already many Carnival cruise ships amenities that amaze everyone. However, this attraction is going to take cruise experience to the next level. BOLT is the first-ever roller coaster at sea, and it will debut on Mardi Gras next summer. Oh, we bet it provides breathtaking views. As well as unforgettable impressions.

8. Submarines on Seabourn Venture

Seabourn decided to go further, or rather deeper. Seabourn Venture, the company’s first luxury expedition ship, will have two mini-submarines for up to six passengers each. They will take cruise lovers up to 300 meters beneath the ocean’s surface and open an incredible underwater world of such destinations like Alaska, Antarctica, and more.
Seabourn Venture is planned to enter service in 2021. Her sister will join the company in 2022 and will also have submarines.

It’s hard to imagine where cruise lines get these incredible ideas. And even harder to face the fact that these ideas become a reality on modern mega liners.
By the way, what new cruise ship amenities would be on your list for upcoming newbuilds? Please share your thoughts in the comments.
