Along The Coast Of New Zealand's South Island

The

cruise ship Diamond Princess

departs from the port of Lyttelton, New Zealand. Below is the well-known Timeball Station:

From the upper deck of the

Princess ship

you can see the beautiful landscape of the bay:

On-board the

Diamond Princess:

Similar to traditional river cruises, guests on the deck can enjoy a changing landscape of mountains and traveling sea vessels:

The shadow of the ship's superstructure looks so powerful against the muddy green water of the bay:

Gliding towards the exit of the bay:

The weather is warm but the wind is strong. Standing on the deck can prove a difficult task, especially when the gusts are strong enough to put you off balance!

The muddy-green water of the bay is caused by strong winds upturning sea bed and eroding coast lines:

Further away from the mountains and coast lines, the sea becomes a vibrant turquoise and the fresh sea air fills the lungs:

An unobstructed, 360 degree view of nothing but water, plus the gentle rocking of the ship amidst the waves is the epitome of serenity:

The passage between Lyttelton and

Port Chalmers:

Sunset at sea:

Dusk:
Even after the sun goes down, the rays are still reflected in the clouds, creating breathtaking hues of gold and pink:
