We arrived at the prison...

Look, how many cells it has!

We went inside. Corridors stretch to the left and to the right from this site.

Now the prison was turned into a complex of souvenir shops. Cells were rented and now there is a souvenir shop in each cell.

We are leaving the prison.

And we are going further.

We arrived at the site of the cachaca production. Cachaca is the national drink of Brazil. It is made from sugar cane juice.

That’s great – they just made the canopy, and they don’t need any heating.

Of course, there is a shop.

We visited the shop. And we tasted there cachaca.

Sugar cane is milled. Fermented sugar cane juice is distilled in copper cubes and aged in wood casks. This is the traditional method.
Workers on factories make it easier. They accelerate fermentation, distil and store cachaca in steel storage basins. It’s aged during a short period of time. And it’s produced for export.
White cachaca is without aging, and the golden one is with aging.

We are going back.

We returned at 17 pm. And it’s already dark here at 18 pm!
We quickly went to swim. The water is very warm.
Dinner begins at 19 pm.

Then we have two days of complete rest. We won’t go anywhere. Just lying on the beach.
