Yesterday, on 7/31, Carnival announced its plans to send Carnival Triumph for a nearly $200 million renovation in Cadiz, Spain. The process of an incredible 2-month-long transformation will start on 3/1/2019.
During the makeover, the liner will receive the cruise line’s famous dining and entertainment venues, new accommodation and updated staterooms.

After the renovation, the liner will become a member of the company’s Sunshine family of cruise ships and will be officially renamed Carnival Sunrise during a solemn ceremony. Then she’ll offer various sailings departing Norfolk, Virginia (beginning 4/29/2019) and New York (beginning 5/23/2019). In October 2019, the vessel will relocate to Fort Lauderdale.
