What are cruise dining venues iconic for each particular cruise company? Which restaurant/bar/cafe comes to your mind first when you think, for example, about Carnival Cruise Line, Royal Caribbean International, Princess Cruises, etc.? Let's talk not about extraordinary, exclusive, unique dining venues but about the iconic ones.
Let's check the answers of several cruise lovers, which they kindly shared with CruiseBe.
Disney Cruise Line: Animator's Plate
"This restaurant is onboard all four ships and always a guest favorite," Siera Duiser from Spreading Magic told us. "Disney characters come to life on the walls of this restaurant. Guests can even draw characters and watch their own creations come to life here."
Princess Cruises: International Café
"One that comes to mind immediately when I think of Princess Cruises is International Cafe," Ilana Schattauer from Life Well Cruisedsaid. "Open 24 hours, this well-loved casual food venue features passenger favorites for breakfast and lunch, as well as snacks throughout the day."
"Items that stand out are the delicious salads that are available during the day; shrimp, mushroom, Greek salad, watermelon and feta salad and more," Ilana Schattauer continued her story. "The pressed sandwiches such as the tomato, pesto and mozzarella are quite delicious! Of course, pastries, fruits and donuts are delicious as well. As a free/included restaurant, it's an absolute gem!" Ilana Schattauer concluded.
Celebrity Cruises: Qsine Rhonda Weaver from Roaming Red Feather shared her thoughts with CruiseBe: "It is a specialty venue that has really unique menu items, and everything is ordered on your iPad. Even the presentation is quirky and creative. The restaurant usually has plenty of ocean views."
Carnival Cruise Line: Guy's Burger Joint
"Guy's Burger Joint serves fresh-off-the-grill burgers and hand-cut fries in a fun, laid-back poolside setting," Jennifer Willy from ETIAS told CruiseBe. "The best thing is that they don't have fancy accessories or lap cloth but a simple napkin and high-quality meal."
Royal Caribbean International: Wonderland
"Wonderland on Quantum-class ships is an Alice in Wonderland themed restaurant where you sit in playfully designed restaurants. I suggest trying the iconic chocolate dome desert which gets lit on fire to reveal core ice cream and peanut butter mousse," Lohith Kumar from BlinkVisa shared with us his experience.
Norwegian Cruise Line: O'Sheehans Neighborhood Bar and Grill
"This is a 24-hour venue that is on the top deck of the atrium," Rhonda Weaver told CruiseBe. "It has seating around the whole perimeter of the deck, so while you eat, you can see all the entertainment below. It also has bowling and arcade games. It is a free venue and has a changing breakfast menu," Rhonda Weaver added.
Are you hungry already? Well, have a bite and stay tuned.
