Fuerteventura. El Cotillo And Surroundings Of Corralejo. P.1.

And now, I'll tell you about a couple of places on the side of the island opposite to

Morro Jable

 - about the tiny and almost NON tourist town of El Cotillo and about the beach called Dunas de

Sand dunes begin immediately outside of the town and stretch for several miles.
Those beaches are worth seeing!
Firstly, because of the color of the water - it can be dark blue, or bright-blue, or almost green. And the color of the water changes all the time. It is really beautiful...
Especially, in combination with white (or nearly white) sand and black lava rocks.
There are mainly surfers on the beaches as it is almost always windy.
When the wind is strong, it drifts the sand on the roadway. It is a Sisyphean task - as soon as they sweep the sand off the road, it drifts back again...
We saw how they cleaned the road multiple times (at the same time, all the traffic stops).
And there are such unpretentious views around.
In such desert places like

, there can't be a lot of living creatures (I do not understand how people live there). I do not even know if they have any other wild animals on the island besides those squirrels I told you about. Probably, not. Even the goats, I suppose, are all domestic - even those that run on their own - they probably just temporarily escaped from their owners.
But there are birds. Not a lot, but you can see them sometimes...
And here are more pictures.
Beaches, beaches, beaches...
Endless beaches...
And we went further, towards El Cotillo.
