Helsinki Card. Is It Worth the Bother?

Tourist cards enable you to visit museums for free, get discounts on entertainment and take public transport throughout

. You can find such offers in many cities around the world. How does it work? How much does it cost? Does this card help you save money? I'll explain my own experience.
You can buy a Helsinki Card that lasts 24 hours, 48 hours and 72 hours. It will cost 44 Euros, 54 Euros and 64 Euros respectively. If you buy it online, you'll get a discount of 3 Euros. You attach it to a terminal and a time reader begins. In addition, it is necessary to write the date and time on the back of the card.
Transport is the first, and biggest, plus. One ride on the subway or ground transport costs 3.20 Euros. The Helsinki Card gives you an unlimited number of rides; it is an unlimited ticket.
Here are other free options: Helsinki audio tour on a double-decker bus and a ferry to the island of Suomenlinna. It comes with a booklet, so you can find attractions that are free or offered at a discounted rate. You'll find there the Ferris wheel, aquarium, zoo, the interactive scientific center "

", an amusement park and many other places. There are a lot of museums: Design Museum Arabia, Suomenlinna Museum, Seurasaari Open-Air Museum, Amos Anderson Art Museum, Ateneum Museum, War Museum, the house-museum of Marshal Gustaf Mannerheim, Exhibition Centre WeeGee - the list goes on and on. I visited the Helsinki Art Museum (HAM) and the

Museum of Contemporary Art Kiasma

. There is only one problem, you want to visit everything, but time is so limited.
You can visit the website mentioned on the card. Everything there is grouped, so you can think of the places you'd like to visit and design a plan in advance. For example, the Panorama Sightseeing bus costs 31 Euros - this saving is already pretty significant. There is also a water tour during the summer. Unfortunately, we did not go on it. A ticket to the Museum of Modern Art costs 12 Euros. I've already written about transport - you can compare prices.
In general, I liked it. Tell me about your experience with these cards. Where did you use them?
