How To Leave Athens By Tram?

Uritsk Andrey • 3 minutes read • April 15th, 2016

Athens is not the only attraction in Greece, it also has a magnificent coast which can be reached by the tram on

Syntagma Square

. In a little more than half an hour, the beautiful coast rises in front of you.
The tram line goes from the center of the city to the resort town of Glyfada.
From Glyfada you can take a regular bus and go further along the coast.
There is an extraordinarily beautiful seacoast 18 miles (30 kilometers) south-east from Athens
Less than one mile (100 meters) from the coast is Vouliagmeni Lake. It is a thermal lake with water temperatures ranging between 65-68 degrees Fahrenheit, even in winter. The lake is surrounded by beautiful cliffs and you are able to swim all year round.
The cliffs house caves and jagged edges. Buoys on the water limit areas that swimmers can go due to fallen rocks.
A lot of sea birds nest in the rocks.
Fisherman along the coast of Glyfada.
