Giardino di Boboli 

is a park adjacent to 

the Palazzo Pitti

. I've read that Giardino di Boboli served as the exact model for all of the royal European parks, including Versailles.

Here is the amphitheater complete with an Egyptian obelisk. The world's first opera performances were held right here.

We toured the right side first, where there is an artificial island called Izolotto.

We walked around the island and toured the observation deck.

We are leaving the island behind and making our way to the very top.

We went further and met a woman who feeds the cats. One cat was walking directly to her!
