Liguria. Camogli

The name of the city has two translations - "houses close to each other" and "the house of wives". Both names fit the city perfectly because previously, it was a fishing village and wives waited for their husbands looking from the windows at the sea...
There is quite a large parking lot, but even though we weren't there during the high season, almost all the spaces were already occupied at 10 am!!! So you should keep this in mind - the city is very close to

Genoa

and is popular among the Italians.

The first thing you see while walking from the parking lot to the sea is this waterfront!

The color of the water is very impressive!
I didn't use Photoshop!!!

The beach, however, is quite black.
But there are many people wishing to swim!

There is another beach closer to the church - there were a lot of people...

Almost all houses are "painted" (it is so-called Trompe L'Oeil treatments).
Take a closer look - balustrades and even windows are often not real but simply painted!

You can even see an image of the cat here...

If you go further (to the right of the church), you'll get to the fishing port. There are also yachts.
In the past (in the Middle Ages), it was called "the city of hundreds of white sails".

And here are more pictures...

I highly recommend to visit this city, we did not regret that we stopped there. There were mainly Italian tourists. It's great that there are a lot of places along the coast that are not crowded with tourists...
