Safety in Maui (Kahului), HI

Always use your common sense.
Theft and pickpocketing is a problem in the cities, parks and on the beaches. Don't take jewelry, other valuables, a large sum of money with you. Don't demonstrate your wealth. Avoid remote areas and talking to strangers, particularly, when you are alone. Well, in general, be smart and act like you always act in your hometown.
Follow the weather forecast.
