New Caledonia. Lifou Island. P.2

We continue our

tour around Lifou Island

. The driver brought us to a beautiful deserted 1.2-mile (2 km) long Chateaubriand Beach located near the village of We.
The beach near the pier is called Easo. The majority of the tourists go there. The sea bottom is not very good there, with fragments of corals, hence, you need special coral slippers. Slightly to the right, there is a reef where you can snorkel. But the locals can transport you (for a fee) on inflatable boats behind the Cape. The corals are more beautiful there.

There is a chapel called Notre Dame de Lourdes at Cape Easo. You can reach it only on foot - it's about 0.5 miles from the pier. You can see beautiful views of

Lifou Island

, of the ocean from there. But when we got there, it became overcast again.
The ocean has a very beautiful emerald green color!

Lifou Island

! And we'll sail further - to Vanuatu!
