New Year 2018 is coming! We believe it will bring us a lot of good news, big surprises, and exciting discoveries. The cruise world will have many occasions for celebrations, that’s for sure! Just look what cruise companies are preparing for us:
Carnival Cruise Line is getting the first gift for all cruise lovers. Carnival Vista is going to meet her sister, Carnival Horizon, already in March 2018.
The vessel with a tonnage of 133,500 GT and a capacity of 3,960 guests has already completed her sea trials in the Adriatic Sea. As well as the Vista, the upcoming liner will feature fantastic attractions we've all heard about. Besides, she’ll have many new surprises like the first ever Dr. Seuss's Water Works water park.
After taking several cruises in Europe, Carnival Horizon is scheduled to operate summer sailings to the Caribbean and Bermuda from New York. After that, she’ll move to Miami and will take her travelers to the Caribbean all year round.

Probably she’s one of the most long-awaited ships not just in the year 2018 but in the history of cruises. The RCI’s Symphony of the Seas with the tonnage of 230,000 GT and the capacity of almost f 6,880 guests will become a new record holder by the tonnage surpassing her sister, Harmony of the Seas.
Symphony of the Seas intends to depart on her maiden voyage in April 2018. She’ll begin her career in Europe taking the passengers on the Western Mediterranean cruises leaving from Barcelona, Spain. Since November 2018, she’ll be homeported in Miami. Symphony of the Seas will operate the Caribbean sailings.

NCL’s vessel under construction, Norwegian Bliss, is scheduled to depart on her maiden sailing from Southampton to New York on April 21, 2018. Then the company’s newest liner with the tonnage of 167,800 GT and the capacity of 3,994 lower beds will take the Panama Canal voyage. She’ll spend her first summer exploring Alaska, and in winter, she’ll take her passengers to the Caribbean.
A Racetrack, Aqua Park, Laser Tag, mind-blowing Observation Lounge – it’s just a small part of exciting onboard amenities Norwegian Bliss will have.

MSC Seaview, the second representative of the MSC Cruises’ Seaside generation, is expected to enter service in May 2018. The ship with the tonnage of 154,000 GT and the capacity of 5,179 guests will amaze her friends with the impressive onboard amenities and exciting entertainment.
She will take her travelers on the Mediterranean sailings departing from Genoa, Marseille, and Barcelona.
The brand-new Mein Schiff 1 will join the fleet of TUI Cruises in May 2018, replacing the old Mein Schiff 1 that will move to Marella Cruises under the new name of TUI Explorer.
New Mein Schiff 1 will have the tonnage of 110,000 GT and the capacity of 2,819 passengers. The ship’s naming ceremony is expected to take place in Hamburg, Germany on May 11. She’ll begin operating Europe cruises shortly afterward.
Seabourn Ovation is the upcoming representative of the Seabourn Cruise Line’s family. This luxury cruise liner will have the tonnage of 40,350 GT and the capacity of 604 passengers. Seabourn Encore’s sister is scheduled to depart on her inaugural sailing from Venice, Italy to Barcelona, Spain in May 2018. She’ll spend her first season exploring Northern Europe and the mind-blowing Norwegian Fjords.

Viking Ocean Cruises are almost ready to introduce their newest representative, Viking Orion. This small ship with the tonnage of 47,800 GT will accommodate only 930 guests. She’ll become the 5th sister of 10 identical ships of the company.
Each of the ship’s cabins will have a balcony. Onboard amenities include several luxury dining venues, two pools, a theatre, fitness center, etc.
Viking Orion will operate different sailing in Europe, Asia, Alaska, and other parts of our planet offering to spend more time in the ports. She’s expected to enter service in July 2018.
The cruise world has already caught its breath waiting for the revolutionary cruise ship of Celebrity Cruises. Celebrity Edge amazes with her ground-breaking design, exciting attractions, and innovative technologies. Probably most of you heard about the one-of-a-kind Magic Carpet? And it’s just the beginning of unexpected surprises Celebrity is preparing for its friends.
The ship with the tonnage of 129,500 GT will accommodate more than 2,900 cruise lovers. She’ll depart on her inaugural voyage on December 16, 2018. Celebrity Edge will take her guest to the Caribbean leaving from Fort Lauderdale, her home port. The company has already announced that in the summer of 2019, the ship will operate Mediterranean sailing.

HAL’s Nieuw Statendam is going to be launched in the last month of 2018. This vessel will join her elder sister, Koningsdam, in the Pinnacle family of liners. She’ll get the tonnage of 99,500 GT and the capacity of 2,650 guests.
Nieuw Statendam will have all the Koningsdam’s exciting onboard amenities, as well as her own unique attractions. She’s expected to depart on the Premier Voyage from Civitavecchia, Italy on December 5, 2018. After a 14 Day adventure towards Fort Lauderdale, Fl, the liner will spend her 1st winter operating Caribbean cruises.

It seems December 2018 is going to be really eventful because another cruise ship, AIDAnova, will also join the cruise family this month. AIDA Cruises’ liner under construction will have the tonnage of 183,900 GT and the capacity of 6,600 travelers. She’ll become the first representative of the company’s innovative Helios class of cruise liners.
She’ll spend her first season exploring Madeira and the Canary Islands. The ship will take her guests on 7 Day sailings.
