4 minutes read • June 21st, 2018
Yes, there are still several months left until

, the newest representative of AIDA Cruises, will join her fleet. But we just can’t sit idle. We decided to get a peek at her construction, and we found several beautiful pictures. Of course, we’d like to share these shots with you.

At the moment, the vessel is under construction at Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany. Her official delivery is scheduled for mid-November 2018. After this, the cruise liner will take several pre-premier sailings (you can find more information about this here). She will depart on her maiden voyage on December 2, 2018.
By the way, AIDAnova’s Christening Ceremony will take place right at the shipyard already at the end of this summer. On August 31, 2018, the cruise line is going to impress its friends with an exciting show with a live performance of world’s famous DJ David Guetta.
In the meantime, let’s check the story of AIDAnova’s construction. We’d like to start with the very beginning of this impressive process.
Very soon she’ll turn into one of the world’s most beautiful cruise liners.

AIDAnova is the 1st representative of the company’s newest Helios class. We should also note that she’ll become the world’s 1st ship operated to 100% with liquefied natural gas.
The 183,900-ton liner will accommodate up to 6,600 cruise lovers. AIDAnova’s stern section:

She’s ready to get her Captain’s Bridge:
It’s incredible, the amount of work the shipyard’s employees put in every detail.

Finally, she got her smile, a distinctive feature of AIDA Cruises’ ships:

By the way, that’s how she looked like without it:

Her smile makes her special, doesn’t it?
The ship is taking her final shape:

Here’s how she looks like now.

She’s already beautiful, isn’t she?
Soon cruise lovers will enjoy their sailings on this newbuild:

We hope this virtual tour of AIDAnova’s construction was inspiring.
We can’t wait to see her!

BTW, we’re going to “visit” other shipyards soon, so stay tuned!
