One Step Away from Scarlet Lady Ship

5 minutes read • February 16th, 2020
We have been looking forward to her for more than two years. She is one of the most discussed new cruise ships. She is unique, absolutely not like other liners. She is the

Scarlet Lady ship

, and she has just joined her family, Virgin Voyages.

The very first representative of Virgin Voyages was delivered to the cruise line on February 14, 2020. Now she is heading to Miami, where she will take two Sneak-a-Peek voyages before departing on her maiden sailing on April 1, 2020.
We are just one step away from the Scarlet Lady cruise ship, and we’d like to check the exciting story of her construction.
But first, let’s talk about our heroine’s general characteristics.
As you probably already know, Scarlet Lady is an adults-only cruise ship. She has a tonnage of 110,000 GT and can accommodate 2,770 guests and 1,160 crew members. The liner has 17 decks, 13 of which are open to passengers.

The first steel for Scarlet Lady was cut in March 2017.

In October 2017, the cruise line celebrated the ship’s keel laying.

It’s a work in progress.

In July 2018, Virgin Voyages announced the name of its first liner.

She is growing in leaps and bounds.

She already looks incredible.

The float-out ceremony took place in February 2019.

She is beautiful day and night.

In November 2019, the liner completed sea trials.

Final preparations.

She is gorgeous.

And she is ready.

On February 14, 2020, Scarlet Lady joined her family.

We will definitely return to this beautiful ship later and take a video tour of her cabins and public spaces, so stay tuned.

Bon voyage, Scarlet Lady.
