Royal Caribbean International decided to close the cruise line’s private port of CocoCay, Bahamas until September 4. The team of more than 400 Bahamian workers will be evacuated. The cruise line will provide an itinerary update for cruise ships by August 28 at 03:00 PM EST.

Carnival Cruise Line joined Royal Caribbean and Disney Cruise Line that has already modified several cruise itineraries (you can check more information via this link). The company changed itineraries of two ships to avoid the storm’s path.

Carnival Breeze departed from Port Canaveral on August 24. On August 28, she will spend an additional day at sea instead of calling at the port of San Juan.

Carnival Sunrise departed from New York on August 27. She will visit all the planned ports but in the modified order.

The natural disaster is expected to pass near Puerto Rico on Wednesday.
