Port Canal Shopping Centre is located at 200 Commercial Road in Port Adelaide, South Australia.
The shopping centre has a floor space of 19,079 square metres, 1,104 car parking spaces and a range of services and retail outlets including a Coles, Kmart, Rite Price Supermarket, Reject Shop and approximately 35 specialty stores. The centre’s specialty shops include Australia Post, National Pharmacies, Bendigo & Adelaide Bank, People's Choice Credit Union, Liquorland and Helloworld Travel.
The centre originated as a $9 million development now known as the "Port Canal Shopping Centre", which included a Super Kmart and opened on 22 November 1986, making it South Australia’s first hypermarket.
The site was subject to a $23 million upgrade, which added significant retail space to the area.
In 1998 the Port Canal Shopping Centre was purchased by Shaun Bonétt's Precision Group for $36 million.
In July 2014 the Port Adelaide Council approved a $10 million upgrade of the Port Canal Shopping Centre.
Train and bus stops are close by, and a taxi rank is located outside of Coles on Church Street.
