Rome. Police Day. P.2.

Let's continue our tour around

Rome

...

I was surprised, how the Italians past the election propaganda. It seems that every night they glue new posters over the old ones:

At the end of the walk we went to the

Piazza del Popolo

on the

Via del Corso

:

The main celebrations of the Police Day took place here. The whole square was lined with police techniques:

It all started with an exhibition of police cars from different countries of the European Union:

Then came the rare police Ferrari:

I liked the idea of police promotion among the civilian population. The police officers were friendly and were gladly photographed:

And these guys were unsuccessfully trying to catch my son with their robot:

Children were allowed to steer the police boat:

And to sit in the helicopter:

But the main exhibit, attracting the majority of tourists and onlookers, was a police Lamborghini:

I couldn't understand why the police needed such car, but I was told that these cars carry organs for transplantation. Then I wonder why it is not painted in the colors of the ambulance, and why they do not use the helicopter, which is still faster. The only thing makes me happy - the police did not pay for this car, because it was a gift "from the company":

Phew! This is the end of my story about this cruise.

At the end of the week I'm going to the "greatest adventure in Europe" - a trophy-raid around Lake Ladoga. A week after returning, I'll fly to the Paris Air Show at Le Bourget, where I got the journalist accreditation. We were promised a lot of surprises. One day I want to go to Luxembourg, that will be my 60th country.
