This is a continuation of the article. In the previous part you can find some information about the history of Roosevelt Island in New York.
Below you can find some photos I took during my walk. We decided to go by the cable car. I recommend it to everyone! There are very beautiful views.

Architectural solutions are completely different in this part of Manhattan.

The development is quite diverse.

There are almost no skyscrapers in this part of the island.

This is the Queensboro Bridge.

New York bridges are monumental enough.

These are the buildings of the former Goldwater Specialty Hospital.

The views are very picturesque.

There are still ancient buildings, although they are difficult to find after the Master Plan.

The island has an interesting promenade. This is an incomprehensible and awful iron construction.
59roosevelt-island-new-york.jpg

The promenade is very nice. People go in for sports there. It’s a good place for jogging, enjoying the views around.

In general, the island is the refuge of prisoners, criminals, psychos and sick people turned into a residential neighborhood with a good infrastructure and incomprehensible energy. It created a quivering feeling in me after I watched a film "Dark waters." But after I studied its history and visited this place, these feelings have amplified. This makes an impression of a very strange and unusual place, especially after the rhythm of life in Manhattan, after the urban bustle and after the charm of New York. In general, you definitely need to visit this island.
Here are some video as always:
