Datsan Gunzechoinei

 in Saint Petersburg. This is a large Buddhist temple.

Its construction lasted from 1909 to 1915. However, in 1919, the church underwent plunder, was defeated by the Buddha. In 1924 Datsan began to function again, but in 1935 it was closed, the monks were repressed. For a long time, the building was used for other purposes. In 1968 it was declared an architectural monument of local importance, and in 1990 the church was handed over to the Buddhists.
