The island of St. Martin. Maho Beach.

After the tour around

St. Martin

island, we took a taxi to

Maho Beach

. The

Princess Juliana International Airport

was situated near that beach, with planes landing just over the heads of holiday-makers.

Schedule of the planes’ arrival were written on a board on the beach.

This plane was coming in for landing so close to the sea.

Flying over the beach and the road.

And it was landing.

Landing and take-offs are complicated at this airdrome.

This plane was flying toward the mountains.

Here, the next plain was landing:

Here, the next plane was taking off.

And another landing.

This was such a delight, watching the incoming planes so close!

People start taking pictures, like they were at a concert.

Taxiing for take-off.

It was so hot, but impossible to turn away!

Many times, the planes landed like this!

The beach was narrow and there were cafés on one side.

And this was the view from another side.

Of course, we swam too. We didn't just wait for planes!

It was time to go, our had taxi arrived. The plane must land according to a schedule. Suddenly, we saw one fly over us. The driver stopped and we began taking photos!

Then we went back to the liner.
