is going to enter an unexpected drydock because of a propulsion issue!

is forced to cancel 1 voyage and shorten another.

Cruise line authorities have just announced the cancelation of a cruise scheduled to depart on 04/08. 7 Night Southern Caribbean voyage expected to depart on 04/15 from San Juan, Puerto Rico will depart on 04/18 and last 4 days.
 
The vessel needs urgent repairs because of problems with her propulsion system. Celebrity Summit will spent 2 weeks being drydocked in Freeport, Bahamas.
 
All the passengers booked for the canceled and shortened sailings will receive the following refunds from the company:
 
For the canceled sailing: full refund, 25% credit for the future cruise and 200 dollars per person to make changes in their flights.
For the shortened sailing: refund for 3 canceled nights, up to 200 dollars per person to make changes in their flights and to cover hotel costs and an onboard credit equal to 1 night of a paid sailing.
 

Celebrity Summit

is a member of the company’s Millennium-class. She was constructed by the the Chantiers de l'Atlantique in France and has been in service since November 2001. The liner spends winters in Southern Caribbean calling at St. Thomas, St. Maarten, St. Kitts and at other Caribbean ports of call departing from San Juan, Puerto Rico. Summer sailings of Celebrity Summit start from Cape Liberty, NJ and visit Kings Wharf in Bermuda or Saint John and Halifax (Canada) together with Boston, MA, Portland, ME, Newport, Rhode Island and other ports of call during the ship's Canada & New England cruises.
 
We hope all the issues will be fixed during this unscheduled drydock and Celebrity Summit will continue to please her travelers with exciting voyages!
